X-TRA’s 15 Years in 15 Days
October 1-15, 2012

X-TRA celebrated 15 years in Los Angeles with 15 days of programming at ForYourArt. Participants explored the history of X-TRA. They heard supporters and enthusiasts in conjunction with the unveiling of X-TRA’s new design and new website.
X-TRA is the longest running critical art journal in Los Angeles; it has chugged on for 15 years and 57 issues. It began the next fifteen years with a 15-day celebration and the launch of a new format, design, and website. Events were hosted every night of the celebration at FYA’s space at 6020 Wilshire Blvd. or at specified off-site locations. During their 15-day stay at FYA, X-TRA presented an installation of the complete library and ephemera of X-TRA and Project X Foundation for Art & Criticism.
The X-TRA store featured back catalogue and artist editions along with special offers and their 15th Anniversary shopping bag. Visitors were encouraged to browse all 57 issues of X-TRA and take home their favorites.
You can find a full schedule of the 15 days here and find more information on the programming on X-TRA’s site.
